Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Night Czar Amy Lamé visited a Night Club intervention last night to learn about the emotional and physical effects working nights has on the Capital’s 1.3m night shift workers.

At FIRE nightclub in Vauxhall, the Mayor and Night Czar joined a group of night workers for our sleep support session, and heard directly from them about the negative impacts they’d experienced as a result of their jobs, from "terrible headaches" to getting just "four or five hours" of sleep a night.

The Mayor has since echoed our campaign's call on the government to take action to address the deteriorating physical and mental health of the nation’s growing army of night workers.
